TIME AND ROSES FOR TODAY

Every night about this time,
I lie awake and think of you.
I hope we meet tomorrow,
But tonight it seems tomorrow just won’t do.

Every blue bird in my life,
Flew away just like a dove.
You’re all I’ve ever wanted,
Someone must have heard from up above.

And I can’t understand,
How I fit into your plan.
You touch me like a feather,
You move me like the ocean moves the sand.

Time and roses for today.
If time could last forever, The rose we have would never fade away.
